What's Cookin' Doc?
Greetings Ghost Fans,
With recent additions of rooms that show that the Haunted Mansion is quite possibly a Boundless Realm, it makes one wonder what other rooms really are in the mansion that we just aren't seeing. One possible option would be this Ghostly Kitchen designed by Marc Davis.
The description of the scene is as follows:
"Invisible Ghost cooks meal. Footprints move around floor. Handle on teakettle raises up to position. Teakettle pours into pot, -----. Steam rises. Spoon stirs pot. Oven opens. Lid on roaster raises. Steam comes from roaster, ----- etc. Voice of ghost happily hums and recites recipe!"

What a great series of classic gags!
Thanks for sharing.
That would have made a pretty sweet scene
And there's the black cat. Marc Davis sure loved his black cats. You see them in so many of his concept sketches!
I wonder what the recipe would be? Maybe the witches' spell from McBeth.
"Eye of newt and toe of frog
Wool of bat and tongue of dog" Gross, but would fit in this mansion.
Thanks for more concept stuff.
I've always thought a kitchen scene would make sense in the Mansion.
If you have info on other such proposed scenes, let us have it!
That looks like it could've actually worked.
