The Ever Changing Changing Portraits
Greetings Ghost Fans,
At current of the four mansions there are three incarnations of portrait hallways with changing portraits. The first and original, Disneyland, secondly, Phantom Manor (though it is missing the April December portrait) and now Walt Disney World taking place of the Sinister 11.
Marc Davis created quite a few concepts for changing portraits. However, in the model building phase, several of the concepts were tried out in the miniature model hallway to see what might work best. In the Osmonds Special and in early model photos, one set included The Black Knight, The Burning Man, The Witch of Walpugis and The Wilting Roses.

What did the witch and the man change into?
The Man turned into flames and in the end, the devil was standing behind him with a SOLD sign.
The Witch turned into a weird goat creature.
As funny as the man one would be, I can guess why they took it out. It would be more disturbing then the others. Though the goat is probably a close second
Do you have pics of the transformations?
Indeed I do, but thats a post for another week. Stay Tuned!
Wonderful.
Thanks for sharing!
Re: "The Burning Man"
- Although he never made it into the attraction, it looks (to me) like his chair did. Doesn't what's showing of the seat pattern look like the infamous "Hidden Donald"/"Talking Chair"?
Do you have any pictures of medusa before her transformation? I can't find one anywhere!

BTW, is it just me, or does Medusa (pre transformation) kind of look like the Rehheaded Wench over at disneyland's PotC?
I remembered saying The Burning Man metamorphosis in The 30th Anniversary Video of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. It was weird.
