Where is the owl?

Greetings Ghost Fans,

At the Haunted Mansion, there are several Raven's throughout the Mansion. Some speculate that they are all different, others say that it is the same one that comes from room to room to oversee us.

In the Graveyard over the band, there are two owls that are occasionally startled by the blast of a horn. But did you know that an owl makes another appearance so to speak? In the newly revised Stretch Room audio, within 20 seconds of the foyer door opening, an owl can be heard hooting, then fluttering away.

Click here to hear a sample of the owl.

ok, i know you probably expected to hear this question. But will Haunted Mansion fans ever get to hear the new original recording from the Haunted Mansion update at Disney World? I love the new stretch audio so much, and I have an awesome BOSE surround sound I would love to recreate this experience in my house. Great 20 second tease of that.

There was talk of it at one point that a new merchandise item for the Disneyland 40th Anniversary would be a new CD, just like the one for the 30th, but with updated tracks such as the new WDW Mansion, new versions of Tokyo and Phantom Manor, as well as the Holiday tracks. Though, I haven't heard much on it since then.

Oh I hope they release it. I tried to edit my own version of the new WDW sound effects, and I THOUGHT I did a good job, but now that I've heard this and know how many layers there are to it . . . just, wow. I hope it gets released soon. This an as clear recording of Constance's speech would be lovely :D

There are several layers to the sound effects for the room. There are about 30 different sound effects playing and moving around within the room from start to finish.

Each wall, not including the attic, contains 12 speakers. The original room had 8 total.

I've read this blog for a while now, and have learned so much. I was wondering about a future post topic.

In the WDW Mansion, immediately after load, doombuggies go under a staircase balcony that starts on the left and ends above our heads. Above the stairs are two portraits. The lighting is so dim that no details of these portraits can be seen. I'd really like to know what these unknown portraits look like.

Sorry if this wasn't the appropriate place to ask this. Hope you can post about this!

Actually Reed,

The two paintings are ones from the old Sinister 11. There is the December painting, and the Couple painting. Not a whole lot to post on considering they are old paintings, just in a new location.

Oh, that's very cool! I knew I could make out a couple in one of them. Thank you so much for answering my question!

Wow! That's creepy. You not opnly hear the Owl you also hear our invisible Tour Guide in The Stretch Room "flying around the room itself.

Talk about getting Interactive with The Guests. :)

I definitely want a future CD with that on it.

Interesting - I just visited the MK at WDW and heard that sound. I didn't hear the hoot, but heard the fluttering and thought they were bats...
